Default 2-3S Brushed Motor ESC from Novak - The Eiger, and Eiger Pro.

Eiger/Eiger Pro Crawler Brush ESC

Howdy Guys,

Here's something we'll have out in the coming months, the Eiger and Eiger Pro (Like Tiger with an I...)

2-3S 20 turn motor limit, defaults to Crawl Mode, (Forward/Hold/Instant Reverse) it also has standard Bashing Mode and a "servo" mode for bot projects or worm drive rigs. ESC has a 2amp BEC for 2S usages, but works fine on 3S with an external BEC. We'll have the standard version available with motor's and the Pro with our HV BEC module.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions or comments!

csuangka@teamnovak.com

Thanks Folks!

Hows the drag brake? Is it adjustable?

Not only can you adjust the power of your Drag/Hill Brakes via the simple on-board programming, but you can turn them off completely.

In fact it is! There are 5 throttle modes total, Defaults to Crawling with HIGH power Drag Brakes, there is same mode with Medium and Low power Drag brake, (For higher speed trail rigs), then there is same mode with No Drag brake, and a Basher mode with the normal double pump style reverse.

Hooray!

The drag brake choices are nice. Can't tell you how many times I endo'd my bronco during a full tilt high speed bomb run.

Whats the guesstimated price? I might actually be interested in trying one.

Sounds like Novak is listening to us...

How about a waterproof version? Everybody seems to be jumping on the waterproof bandwagon, and that is great for scale rigs that like to get wet!

Less then $100! I think we'll have a combo with a motor for $99 or something like that. Its still a little early to tell for sure though.

Waterproofing this little guy would be easy. It doesn't really "break a sweat" doing what it needs to, and well, this same design is how the Rooster Crawler was, I know more then a few guys that have put our water resistance claims to the test, myself included. While every once in a while, the water gets into the bad spots, for a good majority of what I've done, the ESC comes out alive!

In CA, waterproof stuff is tricky, the chemicals and all that stuff poses some issues. So we're a bit slow going on getting our stuff dipped, or expoxied like the other items you see. Also, the process can pose some basic operational problems, and the ESCs are completely non repairable, or at least almost non repairable.

Thanks Guys!

Here it is
Novak Electronics - Eiger ESC / Rock Star Crawling Motor Combos&

129.99
Not bad but, they will have a hard time breaking back into the scene with Tekin, Castle and HH owning the crawler world. That along with the past experience of their products. Will some one buy it and give it a review? If I was in the market for an esc, it wouldn't be the first or second esc that came to mind.

When our new Eiger is available, Novak customers can return their old Roosters (or any other N esc, working or not) and upgrade to either the Eiger 2S-3S or the Eiger Pro 2S-3S.

We have two exchange programs for our customers; the Trade-In program linked above when returning currently manufactured items (such as Rooster Crawlers). And, our Legacy Lifetime Upgrade Program (when returning items to us that we no longer manufacture (such as Explorers.)

Our Legacy program allows you to return any dis-continued Novak product and select anything from the current products list----either from the ESCs or Motors. This way we offer two options for our customers to get our newest products for a "Lifetime".

This is one of the reasons we developed our Trade-In program. Customers often purchase the "wrong" product at first; then, later realize they really needed something else. This way, our customers can always swap for what they need now.....

Novak Trade-In Program

The Eiger doesn't have a exchange price listed? Did I miss something!

We add prices when we start shipping and have items in stock to fulfill our Trade-In demand.

Awesome set up!

One question, will we ever get a ESC that can run 3S and not require an external BEC?

Probably not. The (expensive!) components for beefier BECs take up a lot of real estate inside the case. So small controllers trade size and lower price for the external module. Even with our larger Goat 3S BL, we include the external BEC.
