So i see the new V2 sidewinder is "40% more powerful"
anyone have any idea how the V2 compares on 3S to a V1 on 4S?
I love my V1 but wouldn't mind something more powerful for not a whole lot more.
also is there any difference between the sidewinder SCT and the V2? I thought i read there was but cant seem to find it again.

well, I have ran V1 and V2 in my different scale rig with same 3S Lipo,
yeah...the SV2 got 40% more powerful on it. more wheel speed, but I don't know why the SV2 got some connection issues sometimes....
sometimes cannot be connected when I tried to program the SV2 from my computer. and finally I gave up and sent it back to Castle Creation to reprogram my SV2 again

Considering Ive read elsewhere that the SV2 has had issues that's not very encouraging

every run your SV1 on 4S? I'm curious how it compares to an SV2 on 3S.
it only works on one of the older firmwares but its fun

The SCT & V2's are the same unit. One is sold by itself, the other is sold with a motor.
Yes, some of the newer ones have died, not sure why.
The ones we have are only run on 3S, so I don't know the difference in power as you asked.

when they list its 40% more powerfull its because it can handle more current. if you notice the sv2/motor combos vs the old sw/motor combos the sv2 can run thier 4600kv,5700kv, and 6900kv while the old sw can only handle the 4600 and 5700. the v1 on 4s will have more speed/power than the v2 on 3s but not handle as many Amps
