i have had a old 2 speed emaxx sitting around for a years and i was cleaning the garage today and i found a old 14.4 dewalt drill. i have been searcing but cant what esc's you guys are running other than the stock traxxas 14.4 and that is long gone. i dont want to sink very much $ into this old beat truck.

so what cheap esc would you guys recomend? i have a old super rooster?

should i just pick up a cheap 4s?

Probably need something that can do 4s if you want to get the full power, maybe a used fxr with the 4s mod?
Don't think the rooster would work to well, might be really slow

Holmes Hobbies BRXL would be my bet.
You don't really know how many amps that motor is going draw, so it might be too much for a FXR.
Plus with the BRXL you can even throw 6s at it for some shenanigans.

I would think so, you would want 5S or 6S.....

i have brxls in two of my scx10s. i have no issues dropping the $ on another one. i just didnt want to hook one up and trash the brxl if it wasnt correct for the motor.

An EVX2 would work.
