Ae-2 lvc?

I'm on my Android and can't search. Does the axial ae-2 come with the lvc set? If so what does the esc do? Make a sound or just shut down?

Re: Ae-2 lvc?

Anyone know what it's set to for LVC from the factory? We just finished our first 1800mah pack through my son's new AX10 he got for xmas and it shut down as expected. When I put the pack on the charger one cell was at 2.7 and the other was 3.2. I'm guessing voltage was set for about 3.0.

My other Castle ESC's are set to 3.4 for shutdown so I'm going to plug the AE-2 into the programmer and fire up the laptop. I'd just be careful with stock setting. It's a bit too low for my taste.

Re: Ae-2 lvc?

Ok, just checked with my Castle Link (I have the field programmer, but when I plug into my AE-2 it just flashes like a disco) that when plugged into PC works for programming.

It is set to Auto LiPO from the factory, but the default LVC is 3.0v/cell. It says it will auto detect 2s or 3s but I only have 2s packs. Another thing, I have a few Castle Sidewinders and they allow you to set the Auto LiPO from 3.0 and up. The AE-2 doesn't have that setting. It's either Auto LiPO or not. Since I only run 2s I set the cutoff to 6.8 which effectively gives me 3.4/cell so it will function the same as my others and keep the LiPO at a happy level.

Anyway, if you have the AE-2 I recommend checking the programming with a Castle Link (for me the field link doesn't work though, some say it works for them).
