esc problems im new to this and im having problems when i go into reverse its ok but neuterel or forward my batterys start to heat up and smoke plz help |
Say what???? 1-what ESC? 2-Did you calibrate the ESC to the RX? 3-How do you have it wired up? 4-What motor/motors? |
esc problems i have the rooster crawler with a integy 55t motor it ran fine then it just stopped been crawling for a few days then it just got its problems... |
for wires i have a hitech servo and a traxxas receiver thw a 27 mhz its a three channel... |
Your stated issue makes no sense, none. If it was a bound up/jammed motor or drivetrain, I would expect excessive heat in forward or reverse, but NOT neutral. If it was shorted wiring, I would expect excessive heat (and sparks, flames) anytime the battery was plugged in. Do you have a dig unit? Is this a single or dual ESC rig? Tell us some more, your issue doesn't make sense, sorry. |
i dont have any dig just a single unit i have to have it in reverse to not heat up and it has burn the plastic around the battery's and i unpluged the servo thinking it was a short there but it does it with it unpluged and i have unpluged the motor to see if it was the problem but it seems to heat up the batttery's.... the wires to the motor are good and from the battery as well.... |
i have no idea what would cause the batteries to heat up or smoke that wouldnt do it whenever the battery is hooked up not anytime but when in reverse unless its something inside the esc causing it. either way quit using the esc and get a new one and possibly new batteries if they were actually smoking |
that's what im thinking that its in the esc so now its time to look got a esc to see if that will fix my problem |
