Default DX7 screen board

Well this thread is about questions. A few years back I wanted to do the backlight mod myself, but somehow got some liquid superglue between the LCD and the board that is behind the LCD. Now this remote has been sitting on the shelf for a while now and I wanted to see if it is a goner or not yet.
Right now when turned on it will beep but I haven't tried whether or not it binds and works in all. The screen stays blank though.
Is there a possibility that some resistors or small fuses are blown or is the board ready for the dumpster?
This is totally my own fault and I have learned from that accident.

Yes. The screen is still blank.
I'm thinking that the superglue had some bad effect on the board. Short circuiting some lines.

Now, if remember right, you have to remove the screens ribbon cable from the main board correct? If so try and take it back out and put it back in. On the dx7 i think, it is easy to misalign that cable when plugging it back in. This could be a cause of the blank screen.

Will try that when I get the chance. Yes that is correct on the DX7.
I remember it was a pain in the b*tt to reconnect.

Good news. The transmitter started working again.

Firstly it was the lcd connector that wasnt hooked up right and secondly
the voltage controller on the main board was for some reason badly soldered.
The lcd was totally my own fault, but the voltage controller was from factory.

I'd prefer to help someone and gain respect, than shove a product down their throat
