| is this motor any good?
so i found this motor just laying around. i've never used. but does anyone know how many turns it is? is it any good or whats the deal it's a Kyosho Competition Series Super Stock 34 here's a pic |

If my google fu is any good that is a 27turn motor and the number represents how many degrees of timing it has. Whether its any good is another matter entirely. Might be good for a period specific install. |

Yeah they were a 27t motor...The amount of advanced timing out be semi useless in a crawler. Those things run hot and don't have a heap or bottom end torque. I would say you can try it and find out, but there is potential to release the magic smoke from it. |

Looks like a locked timing motor, will likely run fast in one direction, suck in the other one. Which is which depends on your rig and what motor rotation it needs for "forward". I would likely save it for another use. |

It's an old 27t stocker that was for other organization that didn't agree with the 24 degrees ROAR set.... Would work fine in a single motor crawler that used a normal rotation motor....but terrible in something like a wraith. They will run on the hot side, so gear accordingly....RPMIsh motor, so use a smaller pinion. Reverse speed really isn't that big of an issue.... Later EddieO |
