If you really wanna have a traxxas remote, then buy their "5ch" remote, they are cheap. I wouldn't waste the money on a traxxas remote. Get a spektrum dx3e and it comes with a tx, rx and servo. Not bad for $99 .

Then you just need a 2 way toggle. Because the summit tranny is just high or low gear.

Does this tx have any extra switches. Like a red thumb switch on the old tmaxx td's or a switch on top?

Do a google search - there's a way if you are handy with electronics to convert the 2ch 10 a 4 channel as they use the same boards....I read a nice breakdown of it somewhere - might even be here.

Another: Video

You'd just need a bit of wire and a switch. If you are not handy with a soldering iron, then a new radio is in your future! A GT3B would be a good choice also.

+1 on the gt3b. It's nice having epa on the 3rd channel for the shift servo. Makes dialing in the shift linkage a breeze. And if more channels are needed, grab losikid's hack kit for 6chans.

Yes, you can do that with any radio. You just need to bind the RX in the rig to the TX. Only 1 RX in use at a time.
This is part of why it's nice to have multiple model memory, just pick up the TX, bind it to a different rig and switch the model (in the TX memory) over to the new rig and all settings are done.

if you open it up and switch the wires you between 3rd & 4th channel you will have a 2 POS on the grip and a 3 on the side,

i did it, i have a winch on the 3 POS and lights on the 2 POS
