Default Savox SA-1283SG Servo

Just installed one last night, set my CCBEC Pro at 6.0 volts. Servo works great & has a ton of torque. But it is loud as all get out. It is digital so I expected it to be loud when turning. But it has a constant buzzing noise unless it is 100% dead center. Which is not easy to obtain unless you lift the wheels off the ground. Is this normal

i've had about 10 savox servos, all of them have been 1267, 1258, and 1256. all of them have been loud. it's just a savox thing, no problems

I will agree with epic fail that its just a trait of the Savox servos. I run them in all my race vehicles and they are very good and dependable.

Ok, thanks for the replys. I will stop worring about the servo noise. I have to say that so far I am loving the power of this Savox. I have always bought Hitec servos before this & was worried about switching brands & trying something new. Time will be the true test now

I've been using savox servo on my TTC truck for a while now and it has been abused quite a bit and still going strong

A little, yes.....a lot, no.

Most servos of "standard size" can run warm when worked, but should not feel "hot to the touch".

Mine gets warm very quick & stays warm through the entire battery. It's never to hot to touch though. Running Sedonas with plenty of weight.

Is anyone running more than 6 volts to them. If they would take 8+ volts and live like a hitec I would be all over these.

I'm currenty running a Savox 1268 in my SCX with aluminum wheels and 1.9 Pit Bulls straight off of a 5000mah 2s battery.

It is loud, and does run a little warm, but has performed flawlessly during the last two monthes. The output shaft is just as tight as the day it was new, and I probably have twenty or so hours on it, mostly rockcrawling.

I just installed one of these last night and had the same concerns, It is a noisy little bugger, haven't really worked it up yet to notice a lot of heat. (I'm hoping the aluminum case can dissipate a lot of it.) Couldn't beat the price, so I jumped on it without reading any reviews. Thanks for the thread!

Yeah, 400+ ounces of torque for 130 bucks is not a bad deal- plus I'm hoping the aluminum case can take a little trail rash.
