Default charger issues!

i have a detrum supermate dc6 charger. hobbypartz.com sells them, i got this one thru a local guys website with my bully earlier this year. well i used it untill late june, put it up and just got it out this week to charge a battery for my new honcho project. well after i get it all hooked up and battery plugged up and charger set like i always did it says "connection break" and it wont charge. so i hook a nimh reciever pack to it and set it for that, and it starts to charge but says 0.0amps bein sent to battery, and then a minute or so goes by and the same connection break comes up and stops chargin. any ideas guy on what can cause this? is this charger junk from sitting? it worked like a charm till i put it away! lol i dont get it. and thanks for any input or info.

Check your charging cord, both at the charger end as well as the pack end. My son just had a similar issue (different charger), found a wire broke off under the heat shrink at the pack end.
Your charger shouldn't go bad just from sitting.

My charger says connection break sometimes and I plug the battery in half way and it works fine. Might try that. Also like stated above check all of your connections.

Why spend "cheap money" a few times instead of a bit more once?

I'm not saying it's dead, but it does appear you have an issue with it.
