| Need NiMh battery help.
Alrighty so I have a losi MRC and I currently have two 7.2V 1100mAh NiMh batteries and a wall charger that I got with my rtr kit. I am looking at getting some more batteries. Mainly id like to get some more NiMh's and then some LiPos. First thing is, do I stick with the 7.2V and 1100mAh batteries? Or can i get bigger and if so what size. Next is what charger would you recamend. Is there any that I can charge more then one at the same time? Next is LiPos. I am clueless to them. What are some good ones that wont break my wallet and a good charger as well? Thank! |

You can go as big as you wanna go on mAh. (with NiMh or LiPo) For Lipos, check cheapbatterypacks.com, maybe look at their Elite packs. For a charger, Onyx 245 does 2 batts at once, and does both NiMh and LiPo. I'd also reccomend looking for batteries with JST-XH balance taps (LiPo), and a charging sack for each LiPo being charged. |

Are you running for fun, or likely to do comps? For comps, most of us run ~300mah 2S LiPO, it gives enough runtime for 1 course, maybe 2. You want a high "C" rating for a small LiPO pack (45C+). One issue is finding room for packs, thus the small size. The suggested Onyx sounds like it uses an "Align" style balance plug, you will see this more than a "JST-XH" designation. I also recommend CheapBatteryPacks, almost I use is their Elite LiPO packs. |
