Default Wraith esc with lnc axles not working?

I just built a scaler with some spare parts- using a stock wraith esc, losi nightcrawler axles, honcho transmitter and wraith servo. It runs great until I put it on the ground. It works if the servo is straight but stops whenever you turn. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Really sounds like a weak/dieing servo, or it really wants an external BEC.

When you say "stops", does the rig die? Check the RX lights, if they are off or dim, you are overloading the ESC internal BEC and killing the RX. It works fine when you pick it up and reduce the load through the servo.

What bettery (cell count, chemistry, "C" rating, pack connectors)
