| Newb Q, difference between 1350kv & 2000kv T8
So which crawls better and which will give more wheelspeed, a 1350kv T8 or a 2000kv T8?

Kv is a term referring to the RPM constant an electric motor. It's determined by measuring Rpm (k) compared to a given voltage (v). The amount of voltage is usually 1volt. So the higher the kv the motor RPM per volt it produces (more speed), lower KV tend to produce more torque and will generally carry more volts at less amps. Personally I would go with the lower KV motor and throw big voltage at it to get the wheelspeed you want, plus the 1350 should theoretically be more efficient as well. But the choice is yours. |
