Default Futaba 3PL

Looking for experts opinions on the Futaba 3 PL. Tower has them on sale for $95 with the Rx. Just wondering if this is really worth it? I already have a Futaba 3PMX plus a Airtronics MX sport. The 3PM x Rx are so expensive so I only have 1 RX. On the 3PL I noticed the Rx are about $45. So is this worth buying or should I stay away from it. Thanks Steve

It's a nice radio, but a few members here are getting some trial RX's that work on the 3PM-x for even cheaper.

No problem, glad to help.
I'm also looking for a cheaper viable option for additional RX's for my 3PM-x.

Can't speak for the 3PL, but I have the 2PL and love it. I was not at all thrilled about paying stinkin' $60 for two channel receivers for all the vehicles I wanted to put on that radio, so I got all my spare receivers from Tower's 'Scratch & Dent Bin', for $35 ea. I think if I was looking for a new radio, I'd stay with the 3PL or 4PL primarily because my 4 receivers would work with those.

But if you already have the 3PM-x then I think I'd reccomend sticking with that. Just looks to me like a nicer radio with more (and easier to use) features, from what I could tell from shopping and reading the manual.

I do feel your pain on the cost of Rx's, though. Hope you can find a workable solution.

Thanks guys. I'm hoping one of these days those Rx's will go down in price. We can at least hope.
