CC BEC Pro's Question

What is the minimun input for this device? Is it possible to run this device in DC6V input...
Thank You

Re: CC BEC Pro's Question

I see no reason why not, you "may" be limited in output (volts & amps) with a low input.
Why the 6vdc input? This is below what a 2S LiPO should be run down to.

Not planing to run this device to any of my rigs :flipoff:.... how much limited in output (volts & amps) its gone be?

Re: CC BEC Pro's Question

to my knowledge if running 6v input, the out put can be set to 6v and it will go down as the battery v goes down since it really only regulates the v down and doesnt have the components to step up the voltage. so there is no point to run it with 6v input since it would be just added space and waste of $

Re: CC BEC Pro's Question

Most voltage regulators have what is called a Drop Out voltage. This refers to the voltage difference between its input and output. Most of these regulators need a volt or so more than its output voltage before it is able to actually regulate. I'd expect that you would need at least a 7.2Volt pack to power it if you were trying to get 6 volts out of it.

This is a PDF of the diagram. It looks like most of the questions asked here are answered in the PDF.

Actually my idea is to step up the voltage from 6V to 12V...look alike I cant do that!!..or can I?:ror:

Re: CC BEC Pro's Question

Not with a BEC you can't...BECs are a step down DC/DC voltage regulator.
What you need for what you want to do is a dc/dc boost converter also known as a step-up converter. It takes your input voltage and provides a higher output voltage.
