| how to get wires out of plugs?
This may be a newb question or a dumb question but how do I get wires out of the little plugs for the servo and esc. I want to cut some of the extra length out of the wires to clean up the install on my new build. Thanks.

Take an Exacto knife and lift up the little tab right where the connector rests in the plastic connector. If you are wanting to shorten the wire, then you'll need the proper crimper and some connectors.

Found out that I have an exacto knife (my girlfreind gave it to me I had no clue what it was for lol.) Where do you get the connectors and crimpers from?

I bought the crimper and connector kit from Hansen hobbies and it's really nice.

Order up some wire as well and practice on a few first. It's easy, but it takes a few before you get the hang of it. |

Since you have not done it before - let me give you alternative. Bundle the extra wire into a tight neat bundle and either tie-wrap it or slid some heat shrink tubing over it and shrink it up with a lighter. Your way is the way to go for a neat job - but as someone else said - practice on something else first. |
