Default Radio Help

Hi guys, new to rc. Just got through building my Gmade R1 and got most of the electronics now. I need your help with a radio. I dont do any comps, and need something to work with 4ws, and dig. any suggestions? Went to the local hobby shop, and they told me to try the rc4wd 3 channel. i was thinking that i would need a 4 channel. then they said i might be able to add dig to it (dont want to have to buy something and then add to it, if i can buy the right thing from the get go) I dont want to spend hundreds of dollars but i am ok spending a decent amount. Will the radio you suggest come with the reciever? Like i say i am new to all this electronic stuff, so i need something that is fairly easy to deal with as far as programming goes.

thanks in advance,
Donnie

I have been doing a little bit of research on the 4pl! do you know if they got the dig figured out yet. That was along time ago, but just wondering! I am using the search function, but gets a little confusing understanding all of this!

+1....as to "dig issues" on the 4PL, my son uses a 4PL on a Venom Creeper, seems to work OK.
Check out Harley's thread on the 4PL, pretty much covers any question you can have on that radio.

Sounds good, you'll be happy with the radio. The "Harley threads" are a great source of info. I will admit they are big, so it takes a while, but pretty much everything has been answered in them.

The Harley 4PL thread.... Futaba 4PL Setup, Tips, Tricks & Help
