Default Life 6.6v for Futaba 3PL Tx

Just wondering if Life 6.6 battery packs intended for receivers can be used on 2.4g transmitters. Im using a futaba 3PL that is suppsed to use 4 AA batteries (6V).

I would have to say, yes, it's OK. You will likely need to remove the existing battery tray and do something with pack connectors.

How long do your batteries last? My son's 4PL goes a long time on 4 AA's, my 3PM-x eats 8 AA's so I'm looking to go to a rechargeable battery.

Thanks Charlie-III, Ive actually just used the 3PL once (after I posted here ) actually just a while ago for over an hour, and I noticed that the 2800 Nimh batteries i used didnt drop their voltage that much. I'll be using these till I get a Li-fe.

I also have an old 2PL 27mhz radio that Ive converted to Li-po (Turnigy 3S 1450mah) and man, even if you store it for weeks the voltage doesnt drop.

I'll be going for the Li-fe conversion for my 3PL too. Thanks for your help.
