Default Tekin or hyperion?

Which motor is better and why? I recieved a hyerion swift 13.5 for christmas, and I see price wise its the same as a tekin 13.5..... so people that have ran both or one tell me about them....

i havent used a hyperion motor before but i have used the tekin, novak, epic, and trinity brushless motors and out of them all the tekins seemed to have the smoothest startup. for the prices of them all being around the same i stick to tekins now for my sensored brushless needs

I have run the tekins before. Their ESC's a good but their motors are junk. They have no power to them, that's what makes them so smooth. They never lasted me. I went through three of them in one month and then ditched them. Not even worth sending them in for warranty.

Go with Hyperion, or if your shop can get Viper products, go with them. They only make brushless, nothing brushed compatible, but they are some of the best motors I have tried.

Cool thanks man... I had a tekin 5.5.... I didnt like it, but I was wondering for crawling/bashing... which would be the better motor to be relatively smooth yet have good wheel speed

Aren't those Hyperion motors designed for flying in air models? I've never heard of anyone using them for a crawler. I know one thing though, Hyperion's Lipo's are the shiznit!
