Default I think my BRXL or motor just died on me...

I was messing around with my Wraith and it quit on me. I'm running a Holmes BRXL esc and a crawlmaster pro 13T on a 3s lipo. It has never been ran in water let alone ran much at all. Maybe about 1.5 hours on it total. I bought the esc back when they were on sale for 25% off but just started using it last month when my motor came in.

Well I can plug my battery in and it doesn't beep anymore. Truck won't move any but the steering still works (running a hitec 7954). The esc light up green when trigger forward and red in reverse. My lipo voltage is at 11.4 volts when checked with a multimeter. Nothing smells like its burnt up or anything.

So any suggestions, I don't have any other batteries or motors with me at the moment as I'm at work. I'm gonna feel like a idiot if its just a dead battery. I was just driving along and it quit, before when my batteries got low it would still move but just barely. It really has me puzzled as to why it no longer makes the beeping when the battery is plugged in.

First thing to check is the battery like you said. The BRXL has a low voltage cutoff and that is exactly what it will do when your lipo cells voltage have dropped to the cut-off point.

Well that was my first thought but the current voltage is 11.4v. Every time I charged my battery before its at 10.6v. Steering still works fine but the esc no longer makes the beeping noise as it always did. I was driving it in the shop parking lot and it just quit on me.

what voltage do you have your lvc set to? if you have it set at 3.8v per cell it is just LVC.

check the motor brushes. if was is stuck and not making contact the motor wont chime from the esc when a battery is hooked up. and also turn you lvc down some, try 3.3v setting

Well when I got home the first thing I tried was a different motor, it worked. So it was not the battery or esc. I even charged my lipo and didn't work with the Crawlmaster 13t. So I pulled the motor out and looked it over, checked the brushes and they look pretty worn. I hardly have a little over an hour on it. I don't have much knowledge as far as these motors but will I need some new brushes and have to get the comm turned?

Here is the kicker tho, after I pulled the motor out and looked at the brushes, I plugged it back in and it worked..... Before anything I tried rolling the truck to turn the motor and see if it worked but it didn't. It's got me, but maybe I'm dumb.....LOL

Were the brush leads hung on the brush hoods??

Way too many times I see people tucking the brush leads out of the way, but they end up getting hung on something and losing contact between the brush & the comm.

I remember running into all kinds of similar issues myself once and it only turned out to be a loose connection. I re-soldered everything and all is good. I don't use banana connections and wired everything straight to the motor on all my rigs, so the connection was somehow not good.
