Servo winch installed, now causes steering issue

Hello all. I have done the mods for the steering servo, installed the plug to run off of channel four of the rc4wd reciever. I power up the rig flip the switch on the xr4 radio for channel four, servo winch works fine in either direction but at the time the winch servo is powered the steering goes haywire. The steering servo is a hytec, the winch servo is the stock steering axial, the esc is the novak rooster crawler brushed, and the battery is the 5000mah. This is all mounted on a scx10 platform. Any help on how to cure this problem would be great! Thanks in advance for the assistance.

1-It's "HiTec"......
2-What steering servo?
3-You didn't mention an external BEC, do you use one??

It really sounds like you are overdrawing the BEC in the ESC. You likely need an external BEC. Most of us use a Castle Creations 10A BEC.

Thank you Charlie. Sorry about the spelling. The steering servo is the 985mg. No I am not running a BEC. Looks like I will be ordering one up for me hoj.
