Default Anyone running Novak?

Hello all, I quickly fried my stock Wraith motor, i ordered a replacement stock motor to hold me over til i decide what i wanna get. So i`ve been looking at the Wraith specific Novak system.

Novak Timbuk2 "Wraith Edition" Brushless ESC/Ballistic Brushless Motor System (13.5T) [NOV3224] | RC Cars & Trucks - A Main Hobbies

Is anyone currently running this system? I`d love to hear some feedback. I`m not looking for a basher more of a trail/crawler. My Stampede is brushless of course and i`ve had it in all kinds of water with no problems so far. Guess im too new school for this Brushed stuff as i dont really like it. So please let me know what you guys think. Thanks

I used the search function up at the top but most of what i found was people asking the same question. Never really saw an answer. Will look around some more.

the timbuk II, a Wraith specific system? I guess since they couldn't sell a 2s system, they decided to re-badge it for the Wraith??
Dont waste your time with anything Novak, unless you like smoke.....

Our Timbuk2/ Wraith is a completely redesigned, tiny crawler esc customized for the Wraith. We have only been shipping these new products for a few
weeks. Contact Charlie, csuangka@teamnovak.com with any questions.

novak/castle/tekin/etc are all good brands. people just tend to sway towards one or the other and talk shit about the rest...

i've never had ANY issues with novak products.

I would read a little more about Novak. A LOT of info on here, and i have first hand experience with glitchy and smokey ESC.

Ok thanks for the info. I guess back to the drawing board. Dont really want anything below a 13.5t cause i dont wanna be replacing parts all the time. IMO the aftermarket stuff for the Wraith is way overpriced. I just want something i can get in some water/mud with and not worry about smoke lol. Although that is prolly asking alot but my Stamede does it. I`d just buy another VX3 system but it`s way to much for a Wraith. Thanks for all the good info though guys

On a side note, not looking for something i can summerge, but something i dont have to be scared of when i am running through water and mud

i've run only novak since i started this whole crawler thing. Never had a single problem. Currently i'm running a rooster crawler esc. I've been running it on 3s for over a year now. No heat or smoke.

If i was to go sensorless i would have alot of cogging right? My Stampede cogs like crazy if i were to trying crawling with it lol. So frustrating when i cant make up my mind. I like to do things only 1 time and right so things like this are a big decision to me. I dont want to waste money on something i`m not gonna like.

I have been running a Novak SS 13.5 in my rock racers for over a year. Been in water, snow, and mud. However I siliconed where the sensor wire comes out of the can. Never had a problem. Then again never was too concerned, since these motors can be picked up for 20$. Buttery smooth!

Oh, do not go sensor less! You will not be happy

ok sounds good then. I may give this system a try. Thanks for the tip on silicone on the sensor wire. I will give that a try if i do infact decide to go with this system. Where do you find motors for $20? I just looked at one that was 79.99 for for 13.5t.

I have a talcon from..Hobbypartz?? I think?? in my MRC, not the same, but they are pretty cheap motors and work pretty well. They are not sensored.....unless they came out with some in the past 2 months.
