| Battery and Charger Problem
Me and my friend both got the same lipo chargers (turnigy accucell 6) and same batteries (zippy flightmax 2s 5200 mah 30c). The problem is when he tries to charge his battery on his charger it says connection break. So we tried his battery in my charger. It would charge with no errors. That made us think his charger was bad. So I tried my battery on his charger and it worked without any error messages. So his charger is okay. What do you think is causing his battery and charger to not get along? Thanks, Jordan |

I would have to guess a bad connection between his pack balance port & his charger. You did a great job doing basic troubleshooting as well as presenting it here. Try his pack a few more times, my guess is that it may connect at times. [poop, I had a work trip to SW Fargo a few months ago, we could have met up while I was there.] |

We tried his pack on his charger many times but it would always say connection break. His balance plug must work because on my charger it would show the voltage of each cell. Also, his balance port must work because his charger would show the voltage of each of my cells. I am thinking we need an exorcism or something! |

trade batterys, problem solved! at the cost of those chargers i'd just order another one and see if it works out (they are good chargers), either way having more then one charger is not a bad thing. be ready to go and charged twice as fast if you normaly charge many packs before you go. |

We thought about switching batteries, but I don't really want his since because I'm afraid it could cause a fire since we don't know what's wrong.

it sounds more to me like a conection isn't tight enough and making full contact between his battery and his charger, everything is working fine (sorta) when you juggle it around, you could swap chargers for the time being just so you guys can enjoy your RC's and check his battery on his charger, it may start working as it should.

try changing the battery connector on his battery to a new one. i had a 2s lipo do that unless i twisted the connector slightly till i replaced the deans on it, when it was going bad it would also throw off the pack voltage reading on the charger lcd making it higher than if you added up each cell voltage through the balance plug but it always worked fine hooked up to an esc.
