Default New Term for Me "Direct Version"

I'm looking at Gens Ace batteries and they have packs with the same mAh and C-rating, but come in a "Direct Version", what does this mean?

Gens Ace 40C

Just looking at the pictures, it looks like the direct version has the leads soldered to the pack, and the other version uses bullet connectors. Or, it means the battery is meant to be soldered directly to the ESC when ran.

Thanks.

(Did a search and didn't find any info)

Looks like the wires are soldered directly into the pack rather than the old style where you plugged bullets from the pigtail into the pack.

Yeah, probably directly soldered. The only hardcase packs I have ever owned used bullet plugs on all connections (including balance taps).
