clod 2 motor wiring help

Hi guys I just got my new moped ESC and after I hooked it up and programmed it it only runs for a few seconds and then shuts down until I turn power off and back on, then it does it again, and agian, and...again.
I've read the tech article for hooking up with a one motor setup but what about the Clods with 2 motors. Right now the motors are connected to eachother and polarity is crossed and the Esc is spliced in. Should the motor be crossed or should they stay all positive to both motors and the esc and all negitive together? if someone who is running one of these could draw me a diagram i would appreciate it very much. I dont want to fry anything and I am in no way electronically inclined. Any feedback
