Default Dnyx100 charger

Heu bought a charger and was wondering how long will it normally take to charger a 1300 mh battery as to a 4200 battery and can I charge both batterys on the 4 amp setting? Is there any way to speed up charging?

Thx kenny

Your 1300 isn't a LiPo, is it?
'Cause the Onyx 100 (best of my knowledge) isn't a LiPo charger.

Charging a 1300mAh battery at 4 amps will result in a short battery life. This I know from experience.

(Batt capacity) divided by (charger output) times (60)= minutes of charge time.

1300mAh / 4000mAah x 60 = 19.5ish minutes of charge time (IF it doesn't false peak)

But seriously, that 1300's not a LiPo, is it?

No haha its not I know better then that.any chargers out there that charge quick? I just bought a 4200 battery and took like an hour and 15 mins to charge but that was the batterys first charge ever. being that it was its first charge is that why it took so long or just how it is with the higher mah

Okay, that's cool, then.

75 mins sounds about right.

On your 4200, the field's pretty wide open for chargers that'll do 5 amps. That's about as far as I personally would suggest going.

The Onyx 220, 230, and 235 can all do some more amperage and you can turn down the Delta Peak (mV, iirc) so the battery doesn't over-charge as bad. The 220 is NiXx only, the 230 does NiXx, 3S LiPo, & 3S LiFe w/ no balancer, and the 235 is the same as the 230, but has a balancer. If I know I'm going to charge at a pretty aggressive amp setting, I'll turn my Delta mV down to 2-3, and that'll stop the batteries before they go too crazy. My 240 really doesn't have much of a way to set the Delta peak, so with that I'll stick to more of a 1C charge rate (or less) if I can.

Or you could quit running a little sooner, that'd shorten charge times. I know, that's no fun.

you should charge at 1C to make the battery life last longer...some batterys can charge at a greater rate, but sounds like your using NiMh???

K, with those you watch heat....from what I remember they get hot after they have "peaked" charged...found out from carpet pan car drivers, they all had heat detector guns, were watching them like hawks just before the charger says they are done.
