Dx3e 3rd channel mod info..help

i got an xr-10 with a single tekin esc and a hayok dig with a dx3e..my problem is i have to cycle through to get back to front dig..so when i power up its in 4wd,then i have to hit the 3rd channel twice to get it in front dig,then twice again to go back to 4wd,then twice to go to rear dig,then twice to go back to 4wd,then twice to get back to front...it wont go in and out of front dig without going through the whole cycle..should i do the 3rd channel mod or what..please help

You should only need to press once, not twice. Do you have it in 3P mode? Is your heyok dig the 2 position or 3 position version? You should not need any mods to make this work.

i do have it on 3p..but if i put it on 2p it dont change..i didnt buy the dig so iam not sure if its 2p or 3p..but if its a 2p dig should i put my remote on 2p..and if its a 3p dig put my remote on 3p..then it wont have to cycle?

Yea put the remote on 3p and hit up for one direction, down to go back to where you were or down then back up...It is a toggle so it has 2 directions.

You should plug a servo into the aux channel and watch it to get a good feeling about what the modes do when you press the switch up/down. See if it makes sense and that it is doing what you expect. Make sure the end points are set to their maximum. Then check out HeyOK's products in the vendor's market section of this forum. He explains how the 2P and 3P versions should operate.

It sounds like you have the two position channel dig controller. If you are wanting to change it to a three position channel dig controller, send me a PM and I will see what I can do!

i know how it should work.. i got another comp rig with the novac m2 esc with built in dig and the same dx3e remote..i hit down once and thats front dig,up once to go back to 4wd,if i want rear dig i hit up once to do that..i want this rig to work the same way..

OK, so you have ruled out the DX3e as the issue. I guess you should just work with HeyOK to figure out the rest. I was thinking it was a general question about the setup, not a specific question about the dig unit. Any questions about the DX3e and I will be more than happy to help.

In case it isn't clear with everyone yet, team423 has himself a dig controller that I built that is meant to work with a two position channel. It is working properly. Each time you activate the channel it cycles to the next dig function. What he really wants to be running is my dig controller that is intended for a three position channel.

Were you hoping the mod would be anything specific? Someone might be able to point you in the right direction.

got with heyok i got the 2p dig unit getn the 3p unit that should fix it..so its not in the remote..thanks heyok

not really hoping for anything. just never heard of it before until i saw this thread. unfortunately the actual mod is not specified. just wanted to know what the mod was, and what its benefits are.
