Anyone tried CSRC 645mg servo?

Just wondering if anyone has the CSRC 645mg servo? Looks like a decent alternative to a hitec but claims more torque. Not too mention a few bucks cheaper.

With the new wheels and tires my stock AE-2 is looking weaker and weaker.

My guess is that it is a "rebadged" HiTec 645.

Your main issue is that you may be overdriving your ESC BEC and thus your servo seems to suck (ESC BEC can't supply enough power).

In general, when you get much above 200inoz on a servo, you will be beyond what the ESC BEC can supply. That is the time to go to an external BEC."thumbsup"

Being that is is all Axial RTR electronics I'm thinking that the servo is just not up to task with heavier wheels and bigger tires. It's also got lots of hours on it.

If it's anything like the Hitec 645MG, then it's a very good servo, not the most powerful for crawling, but a great steering servo for a go fast truck. I use one in my RC10T3.
