Default traxxas receiver and bulldog 9300xt

Hey all I'm new to this forum, and I apologize if this isnt the right section for this, but i wasnt sure where to put it. I have a trailfinder jeep and im using a traxxas 5 channel receiver, and was trying to connect the bulldog 9300xt, wired, winch. My issue is that the 3 position switch acts as basically two. In the up position it pull, in the middle position pulls, and the lower position it feeds. Now i did some research and found that the summit, uses channels 4 and 5 to lock and unlock its front and rear axels. The up position is unlock. the mid position is rear lock and the lower position is both locked. Basically I want to know if any one has figured out how to connect the winch, or can any one assist me with how the winch is wired, or any help at all would be excellent. Thank you.

if i remember correctly there a r3e 2 versions of that radio. 1 has a true 3pos switch, the other one is the one you have. there are vendors here that make inline adapters to make a 2pos switch work 3pos items like a dig or a winch. get ahold of heyok, he can set you up.

Thanks for the mention!

This is the part that can help work your winch when you have a two position channel:
Winch Controller for Radio with 2 Position Third Channel

That is ingenius. I see it says maximum voltage is 6 volts, that means im limited to batteries? So I may not be able to use my 2s lipo or even the 7.4 volt traxxas batteries? If you can explain to me how this works as far as batteries for my rig and all that it would be very helpful. I have been surfing this forum and seen your name mentioned numerous times and it has all been good so that would bring me to the conclusion you know what your doing. And how do I go abouts ordering one when it is time and do you except paypal?

Thank you for the kind words!

As far as voltage goes, unless you have a custom rig, your receiver is running from 5 or 6 volts right now (it gets its power from the BEC built into the Speed Control). The winch controller runs from power it gets from its receiver plug.

Yes I accept Paypal. Just send me a PM and we can talk about sales and shipping if you like.
