GT=3B largest 3S lipos you can fit in TX

want to run 3s lipo in my gt-3B and was wondering what was the largest capacity lipo that will fit.

I saw someone running 3s turningy 1450 mah recvr battery. Anyone running a higher capacity lipo that fits?? brand and link would be really helpful...

I run a 3S 2200mah similar to this one:

11.1v Lipo Battery 2200mAh For JR Futaba KO Rc Transmitter H337 | eBay

If you switch out your voltage regulator you can get much better run times due to it's higher efficiency.

i run a 450mah 2s right below the lcd screen...with the vr mod i can get like 5-8 hours out of it.



Why such a big lipo, seriously? a small 1000mah lipo lasts along time with the vr mod.

such a big lipo because with my current AAs i cant get more than 2 hours.

So the thinking is lets go big. I will be ordering the VR from you this week.

If you can get that much time - likely will go with the 1450mah turnigy.

I thought you were supposed to run a 2s? Is you can run either 2s or 3s which would be better and why? Sorry just curious

Good question IMO.. I wonder what the minimum voltage requirement is?

pretty sure you can run either. MY 3s 11.1v tops out at 12.5v.

8 non rechargable AAs are 8 x 1.5 = 12v (but the AAs usually come in at 12.5 as well).

just have to set the low voltage cutoff on the radio for 2s or 3s.

somebody correct me if im wrong. getting ready to order the VR and a 3S lipo.

3s it is....good to go!

The vr upgrade should be good for 6.5 to 36 volts. So if you really wanted to you could run a 6s.

Only issue with 2s is that you have to pull it out at 6.5volts or crazy stuff will happen.

alright thanks, does anyone know what kind of discharge we should have? or doesnt that really matter. Also does anybody know the measurements to fit a battery in so if i want to buy one i know what fits? thanks

Thanks for the confirmation natedog. Have you done the Voltage Regulator mod form losikid - or are you just running stock radio??

Frank, you must use a lipo built for a transmitter. they have a "C" rating of something like 1C or 3C or 5C. NOT 25C or 35C like you would run in the XR10 itself.

Turnigy has a 3S 1450 lipo that fits. You will actually need to put some foam in the tray to take up some space.

I think the max dimensions give or take a few mm are 95mm x 55MM X 15MM

C rating don't matter, 1c or 1000c they'll all power the same. I'm running 25c lipo's in mine.

The c rating just means how much power the battery can put out its not saying the battery has to put out that much, it just can if it needed to.
