Default 3pl 3rd channel

So if I wanted to change my 3rd ch from a 2 position to a 3 position switch, is it as easy a changing the switch and adding a 10k pot? im trying to run a winch off of my new futaba 3pl, any help would be greatly appreciated

Please correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I know, that transmitter only has a two position third channel.

If I am correct about there only being two positions, you can still use your winch if you install one of these:
Winch Controller for Radio with 2 Position Third Channel

Yes it's only a two posision switch. and iv seen yours adapter, But I'm set on the three position switch

There is, rewire the 2 pos switch to a 3 position switch! My question is how to rewire my tx. It's already been done, just not by me. Wantasummit did a nice howto thread a couple years ago, but it's a
Little complicated and I think he was getting a little too technical for me

It has been a while since I thought about that Mod for the 3PL. I still have that TX and it still works fine.

I too don't have much experience with it but Futaba 3pl quality seems to beat spectrum from what I understand. Is there a good reason to choose a dx3c of maybe spend more for the 3pm-x for fast technology?Any suggestions?
