| castle software on a mac
Just thought i would put this out there with more and more people getting apple products from the iPhone, iPad and macs, we need castle to support them. I was going to email them to ask them but wondered if any of you all had any opinions on maybe an app for the iPhone or iPad or at least support the MacBooks!! Kind of sucks that i have some killer castle products but no windows POS machines at the crib to calibrate them. |

You can put windows on a mac. I have it on my Mac laptop. My brother put it on for me. Not sure what's needed to do it I just know it can be done.

like i said, i understand you can install windows on a mac, but that's defeating the purpose. Why not just support apple products? It doesn't make any sense to spend the money and trouble installing windows onto my mac just so i can change the throttle curve on my castle ESC, don't you think?

But look at it this way...... Is it worth it for Castle to spend time and money to make it so you dont have to use the solution thats already out there and works perfect. Why fix if its not broken? I would just download install and run windows on your apple, then adjust your curve all you want. Or find someone who has a PC and go use thier computer. Im sure you know someone with a PC that would let you. Good luck.

I will NOT turn this into a Windows vs. Mac discussion.

vmware player. run windows inside your mac. no need to dual boot. Sadly, it is a windows world, but I'm converting people to ubuntu one user at a time. |

May be a so called windows world but one of the manufacturers is going to come up with a field tuning app for the iphone and or android and its go time.

I'm just getting into the apple world but still have a windows machine, but would definately be nice to have the ability on either platform.

I work for a ~$8,000,000.00/year company that sells worldwide. The software (that we do in-house) to use with our equipment is NOT Apple OS compatible. We even sold systems to an Apple site, along with an Apple PC but ran VMware (IIRC) so our software would work. Apple didn't seem to mind and is looking to buy more systems from us. It is not about support, it's about how to make money. If it costs more to write the app than they will get back from sales (real or imagined) then a company WON'T do it.

i'm a mac guy, not by choice as much as by profession. i know better than to think osx support is even a consideration so i got a used pc to adjust programming. you can get an old pos windows laptop for next to nothing, mine was being thrown away... its kind of a hassle to have a laptop that i strictly use to tickle my brxl or castle bec's, but its better than not having.
