Default Castle Link won't DL on my laptop?!

Well, just bought a SV2, CC 10a BEC, and Hitec 7945SH. I can't DL the Castle Link to program my BEC to and SV2 to 6v. Now what's my options here? Sell everything and buy something that doesn't need programmed? I'm at a roadblock here lol. I have Vista and may not even have the 32.

Question #1 of #17382638382798: How can one tell the ESC is "off" and not indeed "on"?

So, answer yes or no for questions it beeps for, book shows the questions and what's next. After this I hook up and go or how do I program the BEC? They're soldered together now.

Go to their website, look in the faq section. Something about saving instead of running program when downloading then installing with admin rights. I forget but it is monumentally frustrating till you figure it out.

This is it..... We had
The same problem on a friends laptop. Had to download as an ADMIN so we had configure abilities. It will work just take your time. Call castle by phone while you are doing it and see if you can get some help. Good luck.

Sent from my iPhone 3GSlow but still works flawlessly.

We understand it's frustrating, this has also been gone over many times before.

1-You can't "program" the BEC in the ESC, it is what it is.
2-FAQ page @ CC..... Castle Creations | FAQ: Castle Link , question 4 or 5 covers your issue.
3-You may need to plug in a battery pack to program your BEC if it's soldered to the ESC.

I think I have like 2hrs into trying to download it. I'm going to put it down for a while and focus on more important things to do with my time. Thanks for it all the help. I'll get with a guy from this site that's like 30 miles from me that said he'd help program it. If I have to break the solder on the BEC to program I'll do that and solder it again later.

Putting it aside for a bit is likely a good idea.

Did you read the CC FAQ page I linked?? It usually fixes issues like yours.

As to programming the BEC, like I stated, you may just have to plug in a battery pack to the rig. I never have to unsolder to program my ESC's or BEC's.

Our laptop is '09. We have to go to her parents today so I'll use their desktop it's less than a year old, and it's not Vista. I'll see what I gain on theirs. I don't like giving up but I know when I lose or I'm heading that way.

Ok, I set cc BEC to 6.6, and the SV2 to brush reversed and top basic setting to 2cell Lipo and that's it, rest are default. So now I do the transmitter to remote with Lipo hooked up? I won't blow anything putting power to these parts?

Well, I'll get some AA batteries tomorrow and fix the remote and maybe this thing will go.
