mamba25 with a 540 can
 

is it possible to use a mamba25 with a standard 540 can brushed motor?. i have a rig and im really tight on space.

I was wondering the same thing i ran one on my mini and it seemed to get pretty hot in the mini so im not sure how it would like a bigger motor.

I am currently running one on my fj 40 scaler with a 55t motor on 3s no problem.

i plan on running a white can trinity speed gems 2 motor on it which is a 12t motor

i personally wouldn't go lower then a 45t on 2s, i've heard people do 35t on 3s an even 4s.

A 12T 540?? That sounds like a really low wind count for a small ESC.:shock:

What are you going to put it in???;-)

i think its a 12t old man:flipoff: its a older trinity speed gems2 with a white can. its going in a hpi rs4 tc car. i wana run lipo in it but the old novak tempest esc wont handle lipo:cry:

No reason to NOT use LiPO in that ESC, just mind the voltage.
The only thing I can see that would be an issue is a lack of a LVC.

ya i dont wana fry the esc plus it has tamyia plugs on it and a bunch of electrical tape:lmao: if a mamba 25 wont handle the motor i might try n find a novak 2s smart stop for it

A 12 turn on a 25 amp ESC will burn the controller up in a minute.
