| servo winch question
Hi I'm new to the scaling scene. I just traded for a jeep scaler. It has a servo winch and I have this radio XR4 4-Channel 2.4Ghz Transmitter/Receiver Radio When I hook it up to either the 3rd or 4th channel it runs constant. The 3 position switch only changes in 2 positions. I've never had a scaler let alone a winch before. What am I missing or doing wrong? Thanks |

plug it in your steering channel and see if it functions fine you may have to mess with the steering trim. its possible the pot. in the servo is off making it not stop spinning.

If you are sure that the extra channels in your transmitter are only two positions, you can replace your current winch controller with one of these: Winch Controller for Radio with 2 Position Third Channel Watch the youtube video on that page to see how it works. |

I'll try the steering servo. The radio has 3 position switches. I looked at that thread about the winch control. I may just get 1. Thanks |

I ask because some transmitters with three position switches only move a servo on that channel to two positions. | |

The mid and lower position. Top and mid rotate the same direction. Top seems faster rotating. Lower rotates the opposite direction. |

Plug your steering servo in there to test this. It does sound like three positions though.
