24 GHz radio - faster truck?

I own hpi crawler king with stock esc and integy 65 turn motor. Few days ago i bought 24 Ghz radio system hpi TF-40 transmitter and hpi RF-40 receiver. It works nice, but I noticed that the truck goes faster. Minimum speed is higher and maximum speed is higher. I tried to adjust minimum and maximum throttle on transmitter but truck can not go as slow as with stock 27 MHz radio system? How is that possible? Minimum speed is about 30% higher.

The main thing I can think of is that you didn't calibrate the ESC to the RX.
The ESC can only supply what the battery gives it and the radio tells it how much to give.
Maybe your old radio was not correctly set, thus limited in throttle?

X2...a good radio can send signals faster to car but not make it faster.

old radio didn't have fine throttle controls. I'm confused...low speed is the thing that I don't understand...why is it minimum speed higher with new radio...hmmmm

You've already been gave the answer. You didn't calibrate the new radio to the ESC and probably not the old one either. You need to set your throttle trim to zero, endpoints to 100 and then calibrate the ESC. Look at instructions for your ESC to learn how.

How should I calibrate esc? Esc doesn't have anny controls on it. It is stock hpi en-1 esc . There is no instructions for this esc in truck user manual...I thought it is just plug and play esc...

There is setup button on receiver...but I don't know what does it do...
The main problem is greater minimum speed in forward. Steering and everything elese is perfect

Hi! I bought a new radio system recently and then faced the same problem, no response on the car motor although the ESC light turns from green to red whenever I push/pull the throttle. What is the solution then? No instruction about ESC calibration found in the stock car manual.

Uh this thread is from 2012 .... I'm sure all these people have shriveled up and died .

Try Google searching "calibrate esc"
