lipo? its buldging

Do i need to get rid of it? Lipo is starting to puff and I read a post saying to get rid of it and dont use it. Is this right? I just got it in aug. or sept last year. I thought it should have lasted longer. It has about 8-10 charges on it.

thanks

I wouldn't use it. bulging lipo usually means something could be wrong with the cells. I won't take a chance.

Yes do not use it. If you overcharged or overdischarged one or more cells then you could have damaged the pack causing it to puff up.

I would make yourself up a saltwater solution and use it to slowly discharge the pack safely so it doesnt blow up. Search on google how to properly dispose of a lipo pack, should get you all the info you could need.

Do what he said, Don't just throw it away, use the salt water to discharge it first.

Age is immaterial. You can puff a brand new one or one that's five years old.

There is a potential fire hazard if the envelope ruptures and oxygen gets in.

Thanks , This is my first lipo set so I wasnt really sure what to do. Lots of people say lots of different things. I guess I better take care on it soon since its just sitting. I dont want my house to burn down..
