Default Limits of Losi MSC12L?

Although it's rated for 2S, will it take more volts?

Are ESCs more sensitive to over voltage, or is it the wattage that kills them when you go past ratings?

I'm wondering if anyone tried 3s, and if it fried. I'd be running 1 per motor (45t), and as they are rated for 12t, I'm wondering if the low wattage used might let it work.

I'm amazed at the amperage they claim these can run.

they barely handle 2s. wouldn't take long at all to fry on 3s.

What's your basis for saying they can barely handle 2S? The people that I crawl with are using 2S batteries with no issues.

30t brood handwound on 2s. esc was very hot to the touch. that was geared easy in an lnc. with a 27t stock motor, the signal wire torched off the board. they're junk esc's really. even pushing a 380 can motor in my vendetta mini buggy it ran hot.

I wonder if I cut a better heatsink, it would help. I'm running a pair in a MOA rig, and would really like to bump it to 9.6V (3 LFP).
