Burning smell and no motion from Novak Goat 3S

Ok, so I have an Axial SCX-10 and when the Axial ESC decided to take a dump I replaced it with a Novak Goat 3S sensored/BL setup w/21t motor. Well it was working fine and was pretty fast but pretty wet that day and I have the ESC mounted to the frame. Well after the battery pack got low I let it rest a lil while and after an hour that it took for the pack to recharge I decided to take it back out and this time with no drive. I didnt notice that the motor or ESC was too hot to touch when I unplugged the battery either time but when I had it out the second time I noticed the LED on the ESC was showing as normal but I could smell an electrical odor and found it would only go when I pushed it with full throttle and after a while none at all. I have had the motor/esc for less than 6 months and thought I read that they were "water resistant" on the Novak site. Any ideas? Warranty maybe?

As for the original Axial AX-2? ESC it only worked for about 3 days then I lost drag brake and soon after reverse then nothing........ what should I do with it?

If you dont have a drawer or parts bin yet just for burnt up electronics it sounds like its time to start one.. Other then memories they are not good for much else..

Open it up and let it dry out. It might come back, mine Goat has at least half a dozen times.

It could possibly be the motor, I've had a couple stators burn up for me in the past.
I do not like Novak ESC's! I've had 2 goat 3S's and 1 goat 2S and all of them went up within a year of me buying them.

Warranty? With Novak!
You'd be better off sitting at the store awaiting someone to drop a $100 bill and walk off.

how wet is pretty wet that day water and sensored not a good combo

nothing I can try to possibly bring it back? or should I just get a new setup?

It's likely dead, if so, you can try & get a warranty repair, but be ready to pay.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that,
I have had my MMP-novak 11.5 submerged more than once with no problems.
