| Radio Off = Full Throttle????
Hi guys, I've stumped myself with this one. I've got a Wraith I just finished with an FXR in it. It's works just fine but if I turn the radio off before the ESC it takes off, full throttle. Why do you think it would do that? If the radio is off when I plug the battery in to turn the ESC on at first it doesn't do anything, like it's supposed to do. I've got a BEC but it powers the servo directly. It doesn't even go through the rx. Just the signal wire from the servo goes to the rx. |

You should always: 1. transmitter on 2. esc on 3. esc off 4. transmitter off Always, Always, Always |

My FXR does the same thing. Radio on first, radio off last. |

My other FXR didn't do that so I thought there was something wrong. Sounds like I shouldn't worry about it. Thanks guys!

yes, your transmitter is not equiped with a built in failsafe, treat it like a shitty AM radio, if you intend to have power to your ESC first make sure your radio is on. as forbid89 said 1. transmitter on 2. esc on 3. esc off 4. transmitter off |

first rule of rc Trey, radio on first/radio off last. We're you there that day at Roselle when I accidentally turned off my radio first and VXL Melons started doing the Tazimaian Devil dance between my WRX and Zero's GTO... I thought I was gonna owe Zero a paint job! Last edited by johnnyh66; 09-09-2013 at 07:17 AM. |

Check the throttle fail safe setting on your radio to verify that is set to the stop position. The purpose of the fail safe is to stop the car in case it goes out of radio range. Not having it set correctly is a safety issue. It's not there to allow you to switch the transmitter off before the receiver. |

I my case it had to do with an rx not having the safety (fail safe) feature on it. Once the TX is off the rx will do whatever it wants.

The RECEIVER has the failsafe on it. Not the radio, as a system, or the transmitter, TX. A few people have said that so far. Your receiver may not have a fail safe. It needs to be set Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 4 |

Actually you don't need that all you need is to buy a new receiver. I know this because I was having the same problem but I bought a new receiver and it worked like an brand new. |

| Re: Radio Off = Full Throttle???? Why does he need a new receiver? Setting up a failsafe and turning the Tx on first then the ESC will fix his issue.
