Futaba 3PRKA/R203GF input voltage?

So Futaba says that the input voltage for the R203GF receiver is 4.8-7.4V.

Does this mean i cannot plug in a 3S 11.1V Lipo?

(using a castle sidewinder s2)

Thanks

The ESC (sidewinder in this case) will have a BEC circuit in it that reduces the Battery voltage (11.1v nominal) to 5 ish volts to power the receiver. So yes you can use a 3S lipo with that receiver as long as you don't connect it directly to the battery.

Depending on your steering servo you may need to use an external BEC as the power rating of the internal BEC will not be great on 3S.

A search will bring up a load of information about BEC's.

^ Wot 'e sed.....

I'll 2nd the notion for getting an external BEC as well....The sidewinders internal BEC sucks balls when you use 3s.
My suggestion is grab a Castle 10a BEC.
