I would say that most servos are water "resistant", because of their tight case/enclosure.

If you spray a hose directly at it, I would expect water to get in.

I would feel ok with washing my rig without streaming water directly at the servo but, if some splash gets on the servo, no big deal.

It has rubber seals yes. Ive had mine under water briefly while driving through water quikly. Dont think Im gonna just sit in the water waiting to see if its water proof though.

Haven't dunked my 7950 but I did dunk my 7954 for about 10 minutes. My crawler fell into water between large rocks through an opening not large enough for me. I had to go to the car to get something to reach it to retrieve it. It soaked up water everywhere. The servo did not drain very fast either. I had to disassemble it to remove the water and after drying and getting it back together it has been fine. No problems. I agree that splashing water would be fine and I have seen others get dunked for just a few seconds during a run with no problems at all.

they do have rubber seals, and i've been told by a hobbyshop employee that they are "water proof" I wouldn't submerge them but I would say they are water resistant.

Some marine grease on the servo spline helps water not get through the geared area, otherwise the rest of the casing has seals.

That's what my comp rig looked like, on my last comp

the part that was scary was.... the last time i took the servo apart, I was in a hurry and the rubber seal wasn't in the groove, the top half of the rubber was sticking out I found this out after, i pulled it out of the water.
I must have had the two halves pretty tight though, because i have had 7 battery packs in it since then, with no issues

The 7950 loves the power. BEC set to at least 6 volts. I have always had mine at 7.4 volts with no problems on my comp rigs. Unless you are running a 2s lipo then you can just run it straight off the battery with only the signal wire plugged into the reciever.
