Default Futaba 3pk Battery

I have a 3pk and its prob 5 years old now and the Battery is only lasting about 1hr on a full charge. I even tried to cycle the battery yesterday but i dont think it helped. so i was thinking about putting a Lipo in it. What are my options and what will i need to make it work in the radio?

I'm using a Reedy 3000Mah 3s Lipo in my 3PKS. Had to remove the rubber Nicd tray, but it fit well.

It was actually damn expensive for a Lipo, but you will go through almost 5 charges on a healthy Nicd versus one charge on the Lipo. In the end, the expense was well worth the runtime attained and the ability to not need a 2nd battery for spare.

I'm using a 2,600mah 3S TruRC pack. Four years old and still strong.
