Default Waterproof brushless ESC

Is there any good waterproof brushless esc out yet? Vxl has no drag brake. Or am I stuck buying one and waterproofing it my self? I run 4s 35t in my scaler but with the way the new brushless stuff is performing I wanna switch but still need it to be waterproof.

buy one with a drage brake, and waterproof it yourself, but be careful because you dont want to ruin anything.

Waterproofed my MMP and wasn't a big deal. Used a marine grade silicone from home depot took the case off gooped it all up. The sensor and fan plugs just have dielectric grease to keep them from getting corroded.

Cool. That's the way I was thinking but I'll keep waiting till I need to replace something. Maybe by then jrh will have a waterproof brushless esc.

HPI claims the Flux Vapor and Flux Vapor Pro are both waterproof.
They are rebadged Castle SV2s, I think, and are programmable by a Castlelink.
I don't own one, so I can't say if they really are waterproof or not, or just how similar programming is to Castle brand equipment, like 213% drag brake for instance.

Are they an SV2 or SCT Sidewinder?

Based on this review of the older Flux Motiov, I think its just a rebadge with all the programable features and brushed motor support.
HPI Flux Warp - RCNitroTalk
I did learn from another source that you can't upgrade the firmware on the Flux as all of Castle's firmwares so far are betas and HPI limited their brand to only be upgradable to non-betas even though it will come with a beta firmware. There is a hack around this, but it will void the warranty.

Maybe HPI should waterproof the Q-Base (MMP) and Flux Blur (MMM) too?

The SV2 and SCT are the same thing...

Also they wouldnt be much good for brushless crawling as they are unsensored.

I run Tekin sensored 17.5 and Telkin RS. I added marine grease to the motor and the esc sits in a box with an open lid. I am going to grease the esc also. I been running my scaler in wet conditions but stay away from deep water and deep mud.
