Default Savox sc-1268sg 347oz SERVO Any Good?

Hey everyone, last run out on my scx-10 I killed my old 97oz servo.
I have found a used Savox sc-1268sg 347oz.
Can anybody comment on this servo for me from experience,
I haven't heard of the brand name before.
Are these servos any good I guess is my question!?

Thanks for all your opinions everyone!

I've never used a Savox servo before, but I've seen quite a few favorable reviews of them here.
I would guess the 2 "biggest names" in crawler servos are HiTec & Savox.

I only use HiTec in my rigs and my son'e rigs. Yes we've had some issues, but the customer service has been great.

I say, Savox, as a brand, sounds decent.

I will suggest you get an external BEC (like a CC 10A BEC) to power that servo.

pretty good servo, bit noisy, but has held up very well to some pretty extreme abuse.

I'm running the 1268 in my SCX with 1.9 pitbulls and aluminum wheels straight off of the 2s lipo and it has no problem yanking the tires around. If the front is bound enough, it'll pivot the back of the truck around.

Yes, it's loud. That is my only complaint.

It replaced a 7954SH that I stripped the gears out of, and while it has slightly less holding power, it has lasted longer and the gears are still tight.

I pulled mine apart to fill it with grease for waterproofing and was impressed at the quality inside. No stupid half steel/half plastic gears. It's been dunked very regularly without any issues.

I liked it so much I got a 2270 for my Wraith, and I'll probably get another 1268 for my AX-10 if Hitec won't warrenty my 7954.

I like em, good customer support too from what i've experienced...i run a savox micro servo as my dig servo in my losi, it holds up just fine and a mini servo is intended for this purpose. I've even using stiffer dig springs than stock so it's a good little servo. If hitec doesn't get their brushless servo's out soon i'll be running a savox as my main steering servo

I did an edit, Futaba does not have much presence in "crawler" servos.

Yes, they make decent servos, but there are multiple Savox or HiTec servos (or their knock-offs like the "CS-series") for a single Futaba.

I run Futaba servos in my go fasts & carpet vehicles, not crawlers.

I run this servo on my scx-10 with 1.9 pitbulls and my wraith with 2.2 rovers/rtr ripsaws. I run them both at 7.4v. It pushes the pitbulls around no problem. I love this servo on my scx-10. I am not impressed with the way it tries to move the 2.2's tho. Both are fairly noisy. Everyone always asks "whats that noise?"

Well Thanks everyone! That was the exact info I was looking for!
Not a bad servo, not a super star, but kinda noisy, Got it!
Again thanks for the info, But It turns out I went for a new servo instead. I bought a Hitech HS-5645MG.
Hopefully this Hitech was the right choice!
Again,
Thanks everyone!

Sevox servos are really big in airplanes right now. making a huge splash in the scene. every loves them. no personal experience though.

I have two savox 1256 and one 1268. I had to replace both gear sets in the 1256's because the main gear in them is aluminum but the replacment gears were all titanium. After replacing the gears I have only broke the plastic servo case once. This is in a rock racer with 2.2 tires and it gets abused. The 1268 seems strong too and its in a xr-10 but If I were you I would spend a little more and get a 7950 because it would last longer. I only bought these to try something different because I have tried every servo on the market.
