Default setting up the esc

I'm new to crawlers and have a question about the castle creations sv2. What should I set everything at and do you have to have your battery hooked up to the esc to program it?

That depends on if you are using the Castle Link or not.

If not I wont be much help, I have always used the link.

If you are running LIPOs make sure that your lipo cutoff is set to auto lipo. Obviously you want instant reverse and a decently high drag brake setting. You will have to play around with it a bit and see what works best for you.

Not sure how it compares to the momba as far a programmability but if it has crawler reverse Id use that. I think that one is geared more for short course racing but not sure I put the momba in everything. You start out with the basic then go to power and so on. It easy. If you have a field programing card you need to have the bat connected but for the pc you don't.
