| ESC Servo Problems
I've got a Novak GTB2 esc with ko-propo radio and trinity brushless on my wraith and everything works to some degree. When trying to reverse slowly truck hops like your drivin a 1:1 in 4wd low in a tight circle. Also right when I turn everything on I get great servo responce with full articulation. If I move the steer back and forth repeatedly the articulation lessens only to come back with throttle being given just enough to creep forward. Sometimes this does not even work because after steering back and forth sometime I get no response no matter which direction I press the trigger. After a few seconds to more that a few seconds of mashing throttle back and forth I usually get a response. If not I pick the wraith up off the ground and mash the throttle while holding it in the air and response usually comes back. Do i need a new servo, esc, something?

What steering servo? Sounds like you are browning out the RX which is why nothing works until RX input voltage comes back up. An external BEC will likely fix that. As to the jerkiness of your rig, is the ESC calibrated to the radio? What battery (LiPO, NiMH?.....how many mah?......what "C" rating?...what volts or cell count?) |

I'm going to try an external bec tonight. The servo is the stock on for the wraith and im running a 4200mah 2s lipo. And yes I've calibrated the tx to esc and tried changing tons of settings on the tx.

Also if I set up the esc pulling throttle back for forward and pushing to the front for reverse I end up going in reverse when pulling the trigger and forward when pushing it.

Either way, I would then recalibrate the ESC to the RX. Last edited by Charlie-III; 02-21-2012 at 09:24 PM. Reason: Fix typo

Even with bec hooked up im still having problems. Ive even rebound tx and rx reset all tx settings and esc and still quits having full articulation after repeated left and right motion.

Power down the rig, move the steering servo by hand from lock to lock. Note where the steering stops/binds. Power everything back up, set the steering EPA's so the servo stops just short of the mechanical bind and try it out again. Even with a BEC, servo stall can mess with RX/ESC voltages.
