| newb-ish question
dont know much about batteries, or electronics in general... but would i be able to convert this to a 2 prong instead of a 3 prong like it is? could i just splice the black wire and read wire and just leave the blue alone? or will that mess up the voltage? help would be appreciated, thanks. |

I dont see why not? What did it come out of? Batteries only have a + and -. The third wire could be tapped off of other cells for a different voltage. Similar to how some people tap off of 5 cells from a 6-7 cell pack for the receiver. So you may want to take it apart to check and make sure you use the correct wire, or just take the third one out all together. and what exactly do you mean by splicing the black and red? You are not going to splice them together are you? |

I think nktrnl had it right.. Should check and see where that blue wire comes from... That one could be the full pack juice and the red a tap off... I'e seen some really bizzare wiring on things where you expect one to be the std. but it isn't in the end... Just pop a volt meter on it and see what's what... Highest voltage is the one you'd want to use...
