Get a good balancing lipo charger...Always remember the 80% rule..
Never discharge a lipo battery less than 80% capacity..
For instance..If the lipo is a 5000mah pack, never use anymore than 4000mah on each cycle.. The way you tell how much you have used is take the pack you just used and put it on the charger...Charge the pack..When its charged your charger will tell you how many mah it charged back in. Say if it put in 3000mah you could get a little more run time out of it..Just time your runs..
Ive used the 80% rule for years and my packs seem to last longer than average compared to most other guys at the field.. NEVER discharge below 3.2v per cell..Trust me..because these packs can let fireworks out!!

Also never walk away from packs charging unless your outside or there somewhere safe..If the packs get punctured in any way they will instantly catch fire..Ask me how I know.
There great battery's just take care of them and be carefull!

Value Hobby has got some pretty decent stuff available, but moreover, they've got charging sacks at extremely reasonable prices.

for a lipo you have to get a lipo esc, so you don't run the battery too low and fry up the battery. also have to get a lipo charger.

Don't be scared of them. My first electric was with lipos. All u have to do is set the lipo cutoff on your esc that way you don't overuse it. Then charge it according to specs, not really hard.
