Default Cc bec voltage and amperage question

Hey everyone!
I just picked up a CC BEC assuming it was set at 6V output from the factory. I get home and realise its only set to 5.1v!
I didnt buy the castle link because i thought it was 6v!
Untill my castle link shows up I was wondering:

Would the servo benefit (higher torque output) from the CC BEC being set at 5.1 volts with *upto* 10Amps peak, available to the servo.

Or would my servo benefit more with my current config with a 6v output ESC and a 8.4V 7cell NiMh. (the higher voltage 7 cell reduced my available amps for my servo....But the servo's running at 6v.

So I guess im asking which setups best in the mean time, Untill I finally get my castle link?
Thanks everyone!

Finally, a decent, actual question in the Electronics forum!

What servo?

In my opinion your servo will benifit most from 6v and higher amps. So till u get ur cc link just use your super roosters internal bec. On my clod with a super rooster and a 7 cell nimh and high amp draw 1/5scale 350oz torque servo it has no problem running it, soi wouldn't worry about it unless when steering your rx loses power.

Actually even at 5.1 volts thats more than most esc's internal bec puts out.

That's the only way to do it. Maybe you have a bad bec then, or have it plugged in upside down. It only reads 1 way.
